Rapid City

No doubt due to its proximity to Mt. Rushmore, Rapid City styles itself as the City of Presidents, and the old historic downtown has statues of all of the presidents (I think) on the various street corners.

I found Jimmy Carter and looked for James Madison so I could put up pictures of Jimmy and Jemmy but you’ll have to do with Jimmy and James (Monroe).

The Ellsworth Air Force Base, a major training facility got WWII and the home of a strategic bombing wing and a slew of ICBMs during the Cold War, is also nearby and the city’s downtown park pays homage to this legacy:

Tonight in Wall, SD, we finally tried ranch dressing on our pizza. And it was good!

Joe is the guy we stayed with outside of Stanford, MT, and his question was asked about the tzatziki I made as part of dinner. My question is about this crazy combo, which I’m seeing all the time out here – who drinks it? Is it a chick thing? Am I going to get my ass kicked if I try it? Is it any good?
